Le Château Bouscassé est un domaine appartenant à la famille Brumont depuis plusieurs générations. Il comporte 50 hectares de grand terroir argilocalcaire longeant la falaise de la commune de Maumusson-Laguian. Ce terroir est d'ailleurs surnommé "Le Pied de Côte de Saint-Emilion" avec humour, car le Tannat y donne un vin qui possède certaines caractéristiques similaires aux grands vins de la rive droite de Bordeaux : rigueur, trame fine et long potentiel de garde.
