Description

Today, jacques Marchand is at the head of the estate, conveying a know-how transmitted for generations as well as a great experience. At his side Etienne Marchand, his son, who gradually takes over the reins, assisted by his sister Marion. Thanks to him, the estate has been able to benefit from a new dynamic, but also from a modernity in the face of working techniques, while keeping the same spirit of continuity of know-how.

Indeed, the Marchand-Grillot Family has always been committed to developing traditional wines, respecting Pinot Noir and its terroir, both during the various vine works and during winemaking.
Every year and with each cuvée, many factors and characteristics will be taken into account. Studied with care, they will make it possible to make the best composition for the wine. We will then extract a fine, structured wine of excellent taste quality. The wines will be aged in the cellars of the estate. They will remain there for 12 to 18 months until bottling. The life of the barrels will not exceed 3 years since 1/3 of barrels are new.

The Marchand-Grillot estate works 9 hectares composed of 47 plots spread over 5 villages of the Côte de Nuits: Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Gilly-les-Cîteaux and Brochon, bringing as much care to each of them. The finesse and character of our wines are due to the richness of the different climates, the attention we give them and a specific vinification for each.
