Description
Gérard vinified for himself from 1973, however part of the production will bear René's labels until 1986. Gérard and his wife Françoise will complement each other perfectly, both driven by the love of the vine above all. One will bring an extra touch of elegance, flexibility. The style is more greedy. Françoise by her sense of contact develops the private clientele (which has represented up to more than 70% of sales).
Technically the equipment is modernized, especially in the winery from the early 90s. The grapes are no longer crushed before cuvage but just destemmed. The Vasselin type press (with trays and chains, openwork cage) is replaced by a pneumatic press. Wood and cement cuvage, two traditional modes of cuvage in Burgundy.
The estate expands with the plots of Savigny Les Beaune Les Gravains, Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes in particular.
