Your host:

The STORY Château Lacour Jacquet is named after the Pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela who arrived from Blaye or Soulac, who gathered in this great courtyard before the 16th century. The third generation of winemakers, Régis and Eric Lartigue took over their parents' property in 1989. VITICULTURE METHOD Château Lacour Jacquet is a traditional winery with family management. Régis Lartigue has made his passion his profession. For him, winemaking remains his area of choice. The work of Regis and his brothers and sisters has been rewarded with numerous medals and citations in specialized guides. Château Lacour Jacquet enjoys a quality terroir, composed of bass. The vineyard is mainly exposed South /Southwest. The pebbles accumulate heat from the sun during the day and release it at night, favouring better ripeness of the grapes. The vineyard of the property is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vines are grassed and ploughed (cavaillons, passing discs, scraping ...). The harvest is manual, ensuring a harvest of ripe and healthy grapes. On top of that, you need to know more. In recognition of the work done, in respect of the environment, the farm has obtained the certification of Level 3 High Environmental Value (HVE). WINEMAKING METHOD Winemaking follows the tradition of the great wines of the Médoc. The reassemblys are fractional. Fermentation lasts between 21 and 28 days.
