Description

The Chermette estates have been the embodiment of a strong family inking in Beaujolais soil for several generations. The estate now extends beyond the Vissoux with plots spread from north to south of Beaujolais (for which the former name "Domaine du Vissoux was abandoned in 2018).
The range of wines representing today a plurality of appellations, terroirs, men and women who unite in the "Chermette" style.
Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette have always been attentive to respect for the terroir with the production of wines pure Beaujolais tradition, not chaptalized and not lifted.
Recently, to complete our environmental approach to respecting soils and vines, which has been going on for many years, we obtained TERRA VITIS certification in early 2019 for wines from the 2018 vintage.
At the winery you will discover a magnificent installation renovated in 2015. The winemaking work is done in superb conditions with a 800 m2 wine was built according to current standards with 40 thermo-regulated winemaking vats for reds, 10 vats for creamers, 5 for whites and 3 for rosés.
We will be delighted to welcome you for a presentation of our vineyard. We will explain the work done at the vineyard, then the one done to the winemaking to finish by the wine growing.
Finally, we will offer you a tasting of some of our vintages.
We look forward to welcoming you to the estate very soon!

Martine and Pierre-Marie Chermette are among the very first winegrowers in southern Beaujolais to take an interest in vintages and buy vines at Fleurie Poncié and Moulin à Vent Rochegrès. While the fashion was for Beaujolais primeur yeast (with the famous banana taste), from 1986 under the leadership of Jean Brouilly, the Domaine de Vissoux was a pioneer by choosing another path: that of the traditional Cuvée vinified in the pure Beaujolais tradition, not chaptalised and non-yeasted.
