User profile description

San Felice wants to preserve the uniqueness of these lands also for future generations. This is why it respects the environment, but is also attentive to the economic sustainability of the activities carried out. Today more than ever, the landscape of Chianti and the beauty of the village are protected, preserving the buildings of greater value, but also the old dry stone walls. Soil erosion is limited by maintaining terraces and constantly analyzing the variability of flora and microfauna. The vineyards are managed in "precision viticulture", which allows ad hoc treatments for each plant, for less environmental impact and a better quality product. A great attention is paid to the biodiversity of the vine: with the experimentation of the Vitiarium hundreds of species have been cultivated and studied for more than thirty years, to understand what value they can bring to the company but also to prevent them from falling into oblivion. Sustainability is also a participation project, such as those launched by the UMANA MENTE Foundation of the Allianz Group, which involve young novices and seniors who want to pass on their skills. Not to mention initiatives dedicated to children with disabilities or in difficulty of social integration.
