Description
The didinger family's viticulture dates back to 1620. Until the beginning of the reunion in 1968, the osterspaier winemakers crossed the Rhine by boat to grow wine in Hamm in Boppard.
Since then, our winery has been a full-time business. After training as a wine technician, Jens Didinger took over the company of his uncle, master winemaker Bernhard Didinger, in 1993. Today, we are the only Osterspaier winery that still cultivates vines on 5 hectares of vineyards with 80% of Riesling, Muller-Thurgau, Grauer Burgunder, Kerner, Sputburgunder and Dornfelder on this steep sunny slope.
A large part of our vineyards is fully exposed to the south. All the other winemakers of Bopparder Hamm are located on the left bank of the Rhine in Boppard and Spay.
