Description
Les Coteaux du Liban is a family-owned winery, whose vines are grown 1100 m on the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley. They manage the cellar with extreme energy and motivation stemming from a deep passion that they have somehow inherited from the late founder. Both have now committed to producing quality wines that reflect the uniqueness of the Bekaa terroir.
Coteaux du Liban produces four reds, a white and a rosé as well as an arak, traditional Lebanese brandy and a homemade Lemoncello. The annual production is 100,000 bottles from 15 hectares of vineyards, with a strong emphasis on the quality of the grapes in order to maintain a high quality standard for wines. Nearly 95% of production is exported to many countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, the USA, China.
The aim is to fully exploit the complexity of the grapes while letting their natural Lebanese character shine through, from manual harvesting to natural and traditional fermentation, through balanced oak aging and the latest filtration and bottling techniques. Winemaking begins in the vineyards, as Nicolas said: "To make an excellent wine you need excellent grapes". This is the guiding principle of the Coteaux du Liban and the one that defines the wines we make. Our terroir is simply perfect for winemaking, the Bekaa has a unique climate, soil and terroir, all of which play a decisive role in the elegant, balanced, harmonious and tasty wines that we produce with love, dedication and passion.
