Fontaine-Gagnard - La Maltroie - 2023 - Chassagne-Montrachet

White

Description

A bright, clear, light yellow color with golden highlights. The hue is delicately deep, reflecting beautiful fruit maturity and well-integrated aging.
The nose opens generously with aromas of ripe fruit, pear, mirabelle plum, and quince, accompanied by honeyed notes and fresh almond. There are also subtle floral touches of honeysuckle and linden, and a more diffuse, almost chalky minerality than in other climats.
The palate is full-bodied and enveloping, with a rich, almost creamy texture on the attack. A beautiful balance then develops between volume and tension, supported by ripe acidity. The aromas evolve toward hazelnut, fruit jelly, and a subtle hint of sweet spices. The finish is long, warm yet straightforward, with a slight salinity that refreshes the wine overall.
