Domaine Pierre Gelin - Clos de Meixvelle Monopole - 2021 - Gevrey Chambertin

Red

Description

The vines are now over 70 years old and thrive in shallow alluvial soil underlain by limestone. The grapes are fully destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and then aged for 20 to 24 months in used Burgundy barrels.
This wine expresses all the typical characteristics of Gevrey-Chambertin, with a strong structure and aromas of black fruits, black cherry, herbs, and flowers.
Its balance between intensity and finesse, supported by well-present tannins, makes it a wine of great elegance.
