Domaine Pierre Bourée - Puligny-Montrachet - 2013 - Puligny-Montrachet

Description

A complex wine with nutty notes and savory aromas of butter and toast. In the mouth, it reveals a subtle balance around a nice slender acidity and with a good length.

Know a bit more about the domain

Pierre BOUREE takes over a wine business in Gevrey-Chambertin, founded in 1864, and gives it his name.
He then acquired in 1903 an enclosure surrounded by walls, on the eastern edge of the D 974 (Dijon - Lyon), at a place called "La Justice". Pierre BOUREE planted it in vines and gave it the name of CLOS DE LA JUSTICE.
In 1922, his son Bernard succeeded him and created the current brand of the house: PIERRE BOUREE FILS. He buys a plot of Grand Cru vines: CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN.
IN 1945, Bernard BOUREE began to train his nephew, Louis VALLET. He then took over the management of the house, assisted by his brother François. Together, they expand the cellars and the vat room, and develop business outside Europe.
Over the years, the vineyard grew:
with BEAUNE 1er Cru Les Epenottes,
GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN, GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN 1er Cru Les Champeaux, BOURGOGNE ROUGE and recently, BOURGOGNE BLANC, PERNAND VERGELESSES.

After chairing the company together from 2004 to 2019, Jean-Christophe took over the management of Pierre Bourée alone after the retirement of his brother Bernard.
