Domaine Combier - Crozes-Hermitages Clos des Grives - 2020 - Crozes-Hermitages

Red

Description

Le Clos des Grives has become one of the references among the great wines of the North of the Rhône Valley. As for haute couture, small hands are busy daily to develop an absolutely unique cuvée. Requiring time, it still benefits from an additional year of aging spent in the bottle.
This wine marks by its depth, the breadth of its material and the delicacy of its structure. Generous in its youth, it takes on the perfect expression of taffeta wine over the years and decades.

Know a bit more about the domain

This plot, enclosed by a natural hedge of shrubs, now covers 9 hectares planted to the south of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. The oldest vines of Clos, about 4 hectares, were planted in 1952. It was not until 1990 that the name Clos des Grives appeared on a label. A very small part of the Clos - 2.5 hectares - produces an exceptional white wine from Marsanne and Roussanne grapes. White as well as red, Clos des Grives has made its reputation throughout the world as one of the greatest wines of the Rhône Valley.
