Located at the gates of Pauillac, on one of the most beautiful hilltops of the town, overlooking the Gironde estuary, Château Lynch-Bages owes part of its name to the very old hamlet of Bages and to the Lynch family (d of Irish descent), who has watched over the estate's destiny since the 18th century.
The Estate has an area of 90 hectares which rests on gravelly hilltop soil with deep gravel, clay or sand. The estate is classified in 1855 5th grand cru classé.
