New Chateau Gasqui cuvées

Nestled in the heart of green Provence, the Gasqui estate is one of the pioneers of biodynamics in Provence, the estate is led by Francois Miglio, a goldsmith of the vineyard, respect for the terroir and biodiversity. For those who have had the chance to meet him, it does not take long to understand that his years of observation, reflection, study, experiments have led to this result without appeal today: wines of great authenticity, sincerity, able to hold surprising ways in time both on reds (obviously) as on whites and rosés (there is rarer).

Today I propose to you to the reservation two new vintages that will come out:

The Cuvée Point G white 2019
Originally intended to develop the Cuvée Corps et Soul with 36 months of ageing, this batch of 4,000 bottles was isolated after only eight months of barrels to form a large "Point G" vintage.
On this vineyard in Gonfaron, in a state of near-abandonment in the early 1990s, the winemaker still discovers the agronomic potential of the place. The experience of Point G Blanc 2017, 2000 bottles marketed in six months, has influenced the winemaker to the point of shortening the breeding of the 2019 vintage to give it more freshness and less opulence. The Cuvée Roche d'Enfer Rouge 2015
This vintage has just been bottled at the beginning of July and I originally intended to let it age in the winery before proposing it to you. I do not offer soft consensus wines or all-rounders, it would be of no interest. I propose it to you at this stage because it delights me and will please you provided you integrate the concept below.
The red wines of Gasqui are built for the guard, it is a strength both for the typicality with, after a few years wines at their peak: subtle, sweet and suave.
The obligatory counterpart is a powerful passage, blood, tannic, crunchy, sharp that brokers and rare critics know how to judge for their potential.
On the 2012 vintage, I made it taste very early thinking that this notion of potential was acquired. I've had sometimes extremely severe feedback. Six months later; the same people were ecstatic at evolution.
I think it will delight lovers of crunchy, powerful wines from this autumn and will probably be unanimous in the spring, more surely after the summer solstice 2021.
