Arlay
User profile description

It was in 1773 that Elisabeth-Pauline de Gand, Countess of Lauraguais, Princess of Isenghien, heiress to the medieval fortress, transformed Arlay into a vast domain in 10 years of work, shortly before being guillotined at the Revolution. In 1825, his grandson, Prince Pierre d'Arenberg took over the property, revitalized the vineyard and called on the best craftsmen to decorate a house found empty. Auguste and Ernest d'Arenberg followed, then in 1915 his brother-in-law the Marquis de Vogüé, and his heirs until today, the Laguiche family.
