User profile description

A dynamic company Christian Bourganel, enterprising and innovative, in love with beer and the Ardèche, is thinking of a solution to promote these two elements. After a few months of reflection and work with the IFBM (French Institute of Brasserie and Malterie) in Nancy, in 1997 the beers with the fruits of the Ardèche were born: La Brimbel and La Combel, which were initially brewed by the Castelain Brewery, but the announced goal was the creation of a micro-brewery in Ardèche. The installation in Vals les Bains was done in 2000, the beers changed their name in order to develop a brand and became "Beer Bourganel with blueberries of the Ardèche", and "Beer Bourganel with chestnuts of the Ardèche". On June 1, 2000, the Bourganel Brewery made its first ardéchois brew to the local clientele, the Ardéchoise Blonde Beer, made its appearance. Given the success of these beers, Brasserie Bourganel acquired new, more efficient equipment in 2004, and since then, every year, expansions have been carried out. In February 2006, the brewing room was changed and fermentation and guard tanks were added to increase production capacity to 4,000 hectolitres per year. In March 2006, the Nougat Beer was launched, which was an immediate success and won the Innovation Trophy awarded by the readers of 'Beer magazine'. In December 2007, the Velay' verbena Bourganel was born. In December 2008, the Bourganel with ardèche chestnut honey was marketed. In April 2009 comes 'Festival Beer'. In October 2009, the Chestnut Honey Bourganel won the gold medal at the World Beer Championship. In March 2010, to mark the 10th anniversary of the brewery, the brown Bourganel 'B10' and the amber Bourganel 'Amb'Beer' were released. In October 2013, Bourganel Brune B10 won the gold medal at the World Europe in Mulhouse. In April 2014, the Bourganel Blanch'07 was born.
