The Château La Rayre vineyard is located on the southern clay-limestone hillsides of Monbazillac on the commune of Colombier, bringing together the best climatic and geological conditions to hatch a large vineyard. This property recently acquired by Vincent Vesselle has a certain reputation in the Bergeraç region as well as in Holland and Belgium. Vincent Vesselle In a desire for continuity and thanks to his experience and know-how, Vincent Vesselle will strive to keep and improve the quality of Château La Rayre wines. This vineyard comprises 22 hectares of vines including 14 hectares giving a Bergerac Sec with the Sauvignon and Sémillon grape varieties and 8 hectares giving a Bergerac Rouge with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This vine and southern exposure on clay-limestone grounds allows to externalize a spirit of freshness by giving aromatic wines, lively, fresh and full of finesse and elegance. Also, in this same spirit, Vincent Vesselle has developed a new range of "The First Wines" wines from Château La Rayre in dry, red and Monbazillac Bergerac. See less
