Plantation des Coteaux de Montour Heirs of several generations of farmers-winemakers, two brothers Jean-Fernand and François decided in 1991 to clear old wine plots where flint terroirs allow the expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Year after year, the vineyards of the Villargeau estate grow and diversify with the planting of red grape varieties of Pinot Noir and Gamay to complete the trilogy of the coteaux du Giennois appellation. 2002 Arrival of Marc Continuing the family tradition, Marc joined the Estate in 2002 after solid wine studies, an initiation course in Vosne-Romanée and in a few other vineyards in France and around the world. Since 2012 Certification in sustainable viticulture Sensitive to the sustainability of its activities, Domaine de Villargeau is committed to the Terra Vitis certified approach validating: The traceability of the vine to the bottle. The development of auxiliary wildlife and the reduction of plant protection products. The recovery of its packaging. Social responsibility towards its employees. 2016 Growing environmental sensitivities Arrival of Yves, brother of Marc, taking over from his father Jean-Fernand and endowed with a strong ecological sensitivity and the desire to promote production methods even more respectful of the environment. Concerns that will come to an end in 2019 with the entry of the Domaine de Villargeau in a process of conversion to organic viticulture. See less
