More than a century has dawned on Viñas Familia Gil since we bottled our first wine. With that patience that the land of our ancestors gives us, we take care of our old vineyards. And we grow with the incorporation of small wineries from the main wine regions of Spain.
We are also family, that is why we unite in a unique brand a selection of wines from different origins, but twinned by the nerve of quality and tradition. Different temperaments of native grapes, related by the same family trunk that emerged from those first vines. We are what endures.
We preserve in our essence the character of the labriego, which blesses the touch of the warm clay by sinking our hands into the earth. With the modernization of the winery, as soon as the XXI century dawns, we incorporate the technology that allows us to comply with a rigorous quality control, but the smell of the earth prevents us from moving away from the dim bed of the vines and the light that radiates the flowering. It is the strength of the family legacy.
The memory of inherited knowledge accompanies us to recognize if the new buds will give a good harvest or how to trim the vines so that the flavor is concentrated in the berries. Time has helped us to preserve the old vines and combine them with new techniques to improve the performance of the work and obtain wines full of nuances.
Welcome to the Juan Gil Jiménez estate. We welcome you from Monday to Friday for a visit to the vineyards, the winery and a tasting of our vintages.

Since 1916, when Juan Gil Jiménez had the winery built, only one clear idea has moved the following generations in charge of the same: Doing a good job and being prideful of the Juan Gil name and commercial trademark. Juan Gil Guerrero, a founder’s son, firstly, and then his grandson Juan Gil González, improved and consolidated the winery, applied the traditional knowledge of their job transmitted from parents to children. Nowadays, the fourth generation, linking the tradition with the technical revolution, is the one that enjoys the result of the work done by the predecessors. See less
