Description

Welcome to Séguret, a small Provençal village where it is good to live and cultivate the vines serenely.
Located at the foot of the Montmirail Lace massif, a few steps from Mont Ventoux, a stone's throw from Vaison la (beautiful) Romaine, our listed village is home to artists, craftsmen and winemakers.

Domaine Jean DAVID was first a family farm in poly-culture at the beginning of the 20th century, and today 16 hectares of vines cultivated in Organic Agriculture since the late 1970s.

We will be delighted to welcome you on a visit to our estate to introduce you to the history of our estate, the work done in the vineyards, the stages of the process of making our wines followed by a tasting of several of our vintages.

Looking forward to welcoming you

For more than 40 years in respect for the living Jean DAVID was a pioneer in the cultivation of vines in Organic Agriculture. For more than 40 years, the 16 hectares of family land have been cultivated with respect for the living, giving the greatest care to the vines. The estate produces wines without technology or added products, in all three colours, in the Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Seguret appellation. The wines are gourmet, with a beautiful personality. Since 2015, Jean-Luc Auffret, Jean DAVID's son-in-law, has taken over the estate. With the same philosophy and a lot of curiosity, Jean-Luc perpetuates the tradition and cultivates family know-how. New vintages are produced, and in perpetual reflection in the face of climate change and the vagaries of our society, the winemaker seeks his place and works to invent himself constantly, for the pleasure of wine! The vine For diversity, for BIOdiversity, for the love of the vine and the living. We grow 10 different grape varieties. Roussanne and Bourboulenc for whites, strange things like Tempranillo and Alicante, classics Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre of the appellation, and the complementary ones we love, Carignan, Cinsault and Counoise. A short size, a good part in a cup, a few 90-year-old vines, no chemicals, and this wind, the Mistral, which helps us well.
