Description

Domaine de Beaurenard is a family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Daniel, Frédéric, Victor and Antonin Coulon strive to perpetuate the tradition with passion. The entire vineyard is grown organically and biodynamically.
We will be delighted to welcome you for a presentation of our vineyard. We will explain the work done in the vineyard, then the work done in the winemaking and finally the aging of the wines. Finally, we will offer you a tasting of some of our vintages.
We look forward to welcoming you to the estate very soon!

Vineyard balanced organically, and even more ... with a biodynamic culture The entire Beaurenard Vineyard (60ha) is grown organically (certified by Ecocert) and even grown in biodynamic (certified by Demeter), without the use of synthetic chemicals. Thus the vine is in tune with nature, lunar, planetary and cosmic rhythms. With this principle, biodynamic preparations are applied at key moments (horn dung, dung compost, silica,...) that will strengthen the natural defenses of the vine. To perfect this strength, sprays of herbal teas are carried out regularly (nettle, millefeuille prêle, chamomile,...). In the vineyard, this translates into herbicide-free tillage, with carefully energized manure application and thoughtful grassing (depending on climate conditions) The establishment of a conservatory with the 13 authorized grape varieties of the appellation from the oldest vines of the Domaine de Beaurenard also contributes to biodiversity. The grape varieties selected for 5 years were grafted on site in an old-time slit, in a plot that had been resting the ground for 12 years. Our primary goal is to safeguard this natural genetic heritage that is particularly well adapted to the terroir. The idea is also to think about future generations, and if global warming continues, to increase the percentage of these grape varieties with less sugars (thus less alcohol) and bringing aromatic complexity.
