Our revolution, a creative force. “Everything can be done in small quantities. ”- many believe it. Our cellar, although small, is not trivial. We don't want anything but what is valuable. Values surround us. The place of production on which the vines feed for decades is precious; and the fruit that appreciates attention and expertise. But what happens to man when surrounded by such values is even more precious. Because values encourage, give faith and meaning to action: they make us reveal our values to others.
Our revolution is the promise of change. Because for a real revolution, it is not enough to discover hidden values by yourself. It is true that change begins with recognition, but values must be shared with others. We believe that our wines convey our values in a sufficiently expressive way.

It all started with the love of wine ... Then came Tuscany ... Because where else could we forget so many worries and start believing again that beauty should not be created: beauty surrounds us. In the picturesque surroundings of Tuscany, the hospitality of the locals has taught us that wine can be a bridge that connects people. When we left for Tuscany we only wanted to experience Italian rural life and famous Tuscan wines, but on the way back we not only filled our car with wine, but also a dream became our traveling companion. It was then that we decided that we would also make wine with the enthusiasm, love and humility that we have encountered here, but we could not tolerate compromise. While we cannot deny that the family already owned a small winery at that time, we had a fundamentally different view of winemaking at that time. Our aim has been to help the world produce wines from the wine regions which we consider to be the best in Hungary and which can faithfully show the character of their place of production. In 2010 the RWZ winery was established in Mezőkövesd, leaving behind the family history, on a completely new foundation (hence the name: Revolution WineZ) and we started working in Tokaj and Mátra. Soon after, we incorporated Bükk, which had not yet been discovered, into our ideas. Our Tokaj wines represent an exclusive quality and promise the joy of discovery to lovers of special wines. While our wines from Mátra and Bükk offer discerning consumers an alternative to everyday life so that we do not have to compromise on quality and price. We dreamed of our first wines (RWZ Ábránd and RWZ Pirkad) on the slopes of Tokaj-Hegyalja, including the vineyards of Mádi. We chose this region first because we believe that Tokaj-Hegyalja is not only worthy of world fame with its aszú wine, but its unmatched endowments allow it to claim international recognition with its exceptionally dry wines. When we first started building the RWZ winery, we wanted more than anything to make a detailed and truly complex mint. For this idea, we have selected our region of Mádi in the Kishegyek vineyard. This area is located at the top of a volcanic cone of rhyolite tuff, hence the unparalleled minerality of our wines from here. For us, our wine called Pirkad fantasy (100% furmint) symbolizes the moment of beginnings full of anticipation and promise, as well as the aspiration and uninterrupted momentum that is the engine of every revolution (hence the name: RWZ Pirkad). And Abránd (our furmint-lime blend) is the expression of a revolutionary dream which, if approached with sufficient humility and openness, is able to completely transform our attitude towards dry white wines. And with our Madi sweet wine called Dogma (Furmint-Linden Beerenauslese), we offer a modern, rich and refined balance of sweet wine as an alternative for those who are open to a completely different taste from the well-known traditional sweet wines of Tokaj. Our Pirkad, Ábránd and Dogma wines are intended to present the wealth of detail inherent in the vineyards of Mádi, In 2012, we only make Mádi wine. Attila Maróti, our winemaker from Gyöngyös, has inspired us with his wines, thoughts and reviews, so this year we can be proud of a Pinot Gris de Mátra (RWZ Partizán) from Sár Hill. With this wine, our aim was to show how the andesite tuff soil of the slopes of Sár Hill brings out the surprisingly compact fruitiness and fieryness of Pinot Gris (hence the name: RWZ Partizán). In 2013, we succeeded in including the wine region of Bükk in our idea. Bükk regions once belonged to winemaking (even in pre-revolutionary times), but they did not meet their expectations, so they could not be integrated into revolutionary ideas. In 2013 we found the grape variety and the region through which we can present the most beautiful face of Bükkalja. Our Chardonnay, known by the fantastic name of Robin Hood, comes from the heart of Bükk, from the shady vineyards of the wooded village of Cserépfalu (hence the name: RWZ Robin Hood). This wine is influenced by youthful energies and relentless vigor, which also inspires us to bring the beauties of the Bükkalja production area to as many people as possible through wine. See less
