With this exceptional quality, the vineyard is now widely recognized by its peers: awards at the Mondial du Rosé, the Hachette wine guide, etc. Celles-sur-Ource: a unique Champagne village Located in the heart of the Dawn, on the Côte des Bar, the village of Celles-sur-Ource is a major and privileged place for viticulture in the Dawn and even throughout Champagne. Nearly 400 hectares of Champagne-named vineyards are cultivated there by the village's harvesters and manipulators. Each year, the village produces more than three million bottles that are shipped all over France and around the world. Those on Ource is historically linked to Champagne. Indeed, several centuries before our era, the Celts cultivated vines in the valleys of the Haute-Seine. Above all, from 1156 the Cistercian abbey of Mores, very close to the village, allowed the development and improvement of viticulture in this region, since each abbey then had a tavern that offered its production to passing customers. Natural sparkling wine has existed there since the beginning of the 18th century under the name "Saulte-Bouchon" and in the following century the champagne trade developed. See less
