Domaine Paire has 10 ha of vineyards, on the hillsides with a dominant south located in the Beaujolais des Pierres Dorées. The vines intended for the production of red wine are planted with gamay, a grape variety originating in Burgundy, it was banished from the duchy by Philip the Bold at the end of the fourteenth century. This grape, the only one recommended for the production of Red Beaujolais, makes it possible to obtain very fruity wines. This grape variety gives grains whose skin or film is black to white juice, 5% of the area of the estate is planted with chardonnay the production of white wine. All plots are within a radius of one kilometer around the cuvage. 2 appellations are produced: Beaujolais and Burgundy, available in 3 colors: red, white and rosé. The estate also produces local wine, hypocras and grape juice. A.O.C. Beaujolais is produced in the southern part of the vineyard, located between Mâcon and Lyon west of the Saône. See less
