Description

Clos Centeilles is a family winery dedicated to viticulture, born from the will of its founder Patricia Boyer-Domergue and her daughter Cécile Domergue.

The Clos Centeilles is located in the heart of the Minervois La Livinière appellation, the 1st of the Languedoc wines recognized since 1999.
A real Clos of 12 hectares surrounding our family winery, 23 planted grape varieties, 13 cuvées, artisanal production and manual work! Indigenous grape varieties but unjustly forgotten, pampered with passion by Patricia Boyer-Domergue and her daughter Cécile. The clos Centeilles winery is in itself a conservatory of heritage (historical, genetic, taste) and a creator of the flavors of tomorrow!
We would be delighted to welcome you to make you discover the estate and its history and the work done to develop our wine!

Looking forward to seeing you again

Centeilles is the fruit of the encounter between people and a land. Where does the name Centeilles come from? According to legend, 100 widows (which is called “Centeilhas” or “Centeilles” in Oc language) took over from the hermits who lived on the site and who treated people with a mixture of wine and pig fat. The last erme of Centeilles would have died out in the 17th century next to one of the vineyards of the countryside (which means "residence" in the language of Oc) near a large oak tree where, today, children love. to build cabins. It is from its past that Centeilles takes the name of its wines: "Erme de Centeilles", "Campagne", "Capitelle" ... Centeilles makes you discover its history through very rare old grape varieties such as Piquepoul Noir or the Riveirenc Noir. In 1990, Patricia Boyer-Domergue took over the Clos Centeilles operation and in 2002 she became President of the "Minervois La Livinière" appellation. Le Clos Centeilles is located in Languedoc-Roussillon (production in the South of France). The wines produced are, for the most part, AOC Minervois. The grape varieties of the red wines are very diverse: Carignan, Mourvèdre, Piquepoul Noir, Riveirenc Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Pinot Noir Fin. The average age of the vines ranges from 40 years to 100 years for the Carignans. No chemical fertilizer or fungicide is applied to the vines, which gives a very natural and authentic wine vinified to obtain wines for aging (over 10 years). Grape variety: Reds: Mourvèdre, Picpoul N., Riveirenc N. Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache N., Carignan, Pinot Noir Fin. White: Grenache G., Araignan B., Riveirenc B. and G.
