Description

All the elements of an estate being interdependent, Frédéric and his team develop agroforestry, by planting trees within the vineyards. Not only will this compensate for the carbon deficit resulting from deforestation, and restore a balance between the animal world and the plant world, but also better feed the soil.

The vine thus becomes more resistant and can produce grapes capable of expressing all the taste qualities of the grape variety.

Pruning is carried out in such a way as to respect the flow of sap, thus allowing the vine to feed better and build up reserves to start its growth well and resist possible diseases.

No chemical remedy is used: only organic, no antibios!

The circle is closed: the soils already fed in a natural way and according to the rules of a complete eco-system, can continue to regenerate, and thus better feed the vine, contributing to a living, vibrant and rich wine.

The harvest is manual, allowing to sort the grapes and guarantee from the beginning of the process a selection able to give the best juices.
Frédéric and his team remain extremely vigilant throughout the winemaking and winemaking stage, with the aim of limiting inputs as much as possible (but without ever sacrificing the taste of the wine and its balance).
We would be delighted to welcome you to make you discover the estate and its history and the work done to develop our wine!
Looking forward to seeing you again

Located on the exceptional terroirs of the town of Lantignié, rich in pink granite and blue stones characteristic of the grands crus of Beaujolais, Frédéric and his team are also keen to restore the unjustly tarnished coat of arms of little French Tuscany. Marked by the disamour for Beaujolais wines when he was a child, Frédéric wishes to redress this injustice. Motivated by this challenge, it must be worthy of its terroirs and ambitions, by producing the best possible wines. To be a winegrower is to be a farmer. There is a lot of talk about wine, but very little about the fruit that is its origin. If winemaking makes it possible to sign the wine with the know-how of its winemaker and those around it, no signature, however beautiful it may be, has any value if the primary material is not of quality. Aware very early on of the interaction between soil quality, grape quality and therefore wine quality, Frédéric never stopped training in agricultural practices focusing on the essential: the land. Rich in all these efforts and Frédéric's sensitivity to his environment, the field exudes energy. Breaking with intensive and chemical agriculture, the team treats its vines according to the precepts of agroecology: considering that its field is one with nature, it strives to respect the ecological diversity at work in the Beaujolais region, essential conditions to preserve natural resources and thus get the best out of them.
