Description

Val-de-Moder is a land of orchards by tradition. This year again, we distilled 423T of fruit. We are committed to maintaining this activity. Whisky production should not be at the expense of brandy production. Whisky is a plus. It is a new facet of our business. Our customers understood this so well that those who usually took only lifedons, now also take whisky... And vice versa!

We would be very happy to welcome you to our field!

Located in Uberach, the Hepp craft distillery is a symbol of this success. Yanick Hepp, director and master distiller of the place, tells us more about his craft and the history of a distillery that has reinvented itself. Hepp, a story of generations "I come from a family of distillers whose ancestors were vintage boilers. The distillery began with my grandfather. In 1970, a week before my father returned from military service, my grandfather acquired a still. The distillery was created in 1972, following this purchase. Located in the courtyard of the distillery, this still is a testament to a recent past. I was a schoolboy when I started my work at the distillery. My grandfather taught me a lot about this trade so that I already knew how to distill at the age of 14. It's an Obelix story, I fell into the barrel at a very young age! The 1990s marked the first cycle of modernization of the distillery, completed in 2003 by the renovation of the buildings. The last investments took place four years ago, in connection with the development of whisky production. The qualitative requirement and the will to fend for yourself will have guided all the actions carried out at the distillery for nearly 50 years. Yannick Hepp. See less
