Fattoria Licia is a winery founded in the thirties thanks to the intuition of grandfather Peppino, one of the first to plant vines from Montepulciano to Villamagna. The father's teachings were passed on to his sons Filippantonio and Nicola who planted new vines, such as Trebbiano, increasing sales throughout the country. Today, the Fattoria Licia de Villamagna is led by Enzo de Luca who, on the solid foundations of tradition, has been able to create a modern and dynamic company, attentive to the needs of the markets. The company extends over about 17 hectares on the hills near the Foro River Valley. In the south-facing lands, traditional grape varieties are grown: Montepulciano and Trebbiano, which express in this area precise characteristics of typicity, but also international grape varieties such as Chardonnay or ancient clones such as Malvasia, Cocociola, Pecorino, Moscato nero. The key to the success of this Abruzzo winery lies in the family management combined with the use of modern technologies that allow the gentle pressing of the grapes and the control of the fermentation temperature, as well as continuous testing to guarantee quality at every stage of the process. . The commitment of the De Luca family in the care of the vines, in the harvest and in the winemaking processes makes Ferme Licia a company that produces quality wines, respecting the territory, its characteristics and its traditions. The Fattoria Licia winery periodically offers dinners in the cellar with tasting of its wines combined with the tasting of typical Abruzzo products strongly linked to the peasant tradition, such as wood-fired bread, farm chicken and many other delights that are difficult to find today. Wine tourism in Villamagna is a reality. See less
