Contesa was born in Collecorvino, in the heart of the hills of Pescara, Terre dei Vestini. Here we try to take care of what nature gives us generously, enclosing in our wines the essence of our roots, our land and our work.

This is the philosophy that we try to apply to each phase of our work and to each season: from the choices made to the vine to the techniques used in the cellar, to ensure a production that represents the faithful interpretation of a terroir naturally adapted to viticulture.

The visits at 1€ mean that they are carried out free of charge by the winemaker. This amount is requested to ensure the seriousness of your request and avoid the winemaker to block a visiting slot unnecessarily.

Our history Those who know Contesa know well that it is not a cellar like the others, it is the direct testimony of the indissoluble link that links the life of our family to the vineyards that have given us an extraordinarily generous land. An exciting story, in which the stubborn refusal to compromise has also led us to difficult choices and painful separations, but giving us infinite gratifications thanks to the wisdom of men and women who, generation after generation, have stubbornly kept the idea of an oenological culture made of integrity, coherence and pride in its roots. A unique cellar In the Contesa philosophy, "wine is made in the vineyard" and the cellar is the place where the journey ends, from harvesting to bottled ripening, which is repeated year after year in a ritual that is sacred to us. Here patience and silence are essential values, because we know that just as nature needs its time to give us real masterpieces, in the same way the wine of each author was born from a precise modus operandi refined and transmitted from generation to generation. In the Contesa winery, however, not only are precious barrels and barrels in Slavonia oak preserved, as well as the innovative temperature-controlled steel vats that preserve the quality of the musts and reduce the oenological impact: it is above all a human dimension that finds space, it is tinged with a sincere conviviality and a spontaneous welcome.
