In 1991, Patrick de Coninck and Albert Michiels acquired Château Martet. This estate, ideally located on a hillside along the Dordogne, offers an exceptional heritage with a relationship to vines and people dating from the Roman period. They both decided to restructure the vineyard in order to regain its quality of yesteryear. In 1998, Patrick de Coninck trusted Louis Mitjavile to advise him on both viticulture and oenology. Quickly, these efforts produced a great Bordeaux wine, a real benchmark: the Réserve de Famille. After the death of Patrick in 2016, his family decided to pay tribute to him and to continue his work by releasing a generous cuvée, with a present character. Since 2021, Nina Mitjavile has led a new development at the estate with the Martet-Mitjavile collaboration. A promising job on his part as a leading winegrower. See less
