Description
NESTLED BETWEEN CAIRANNE AND RASTEAU, IN THE PROVENÇAL HINTERLAND, THE GALUVAL ESTATE COMBINES THE ROOSTER (GALLUS), A SYMBOL OF PRIDE, WITH GRAPES (UVA), THE FRUIT OF A THOUSAND-YEAR-OLD CULTURE. OUR WINES ARE CREATIVE (ALWAYS), AVANT-GARDE (SOMETIMES), IN AN ASSERTIVE STYLE THAT REVEALS THE RICHNESS OF THE FRUIT AND THE DIVERSITY OF OUR TERROIRS. OUR OENOLOGIST CONCEIVES THEM AS UNIQUE CREATIONS, INSPIRED BY NATURE AND FAITHFUL TO THE CHARACTER OF EACH VINTAGE. FREED FROM ALL CONSTRAINTS, THE GALUVAL ESTATE STIMULATES A REAL CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE ON THE RHONE VALLEY.
We would be delighted to welcome you to make you discover the estate and its history and the work done to develop our wine!
Looking forward to seeing you again

HISTORY & TRAJECTORY On the wine route of the Rhone Valley, about ten minutes from Orange, the Domaine de Galuval is nestled between the villages of Cairanne and Rasteau, between sunny hillsides and plains of fragrant scrubland. A site high in colors and reliefs, under the benevolence of Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail. The Domaine de Galuval is one of the oldest winegrowers-harvesters in Cairanne. Founded in 1923 by the Marchal family, it began a qualitative approach from its creation by making its own vintages and daring to package them in bottles. A pioneering approach of quality from the beginning of the twentieth century that we have pursued. ON THE SIDE OF CAIRANNE The Domaine de Galuval extends over the two communes of Cairanne and Rasteau. Our cellar with the characteristic cubic shape is located at the exit of Cairanne, in the direction of Rasteau. These two communes are classified under the prestigious and rare name of Cru des Côtes du Rhône, in 2010 for Rasteau and 2016 for Cairanne. Cairanne and Rasteau offer a unique panorama of the spectacular geography and geology of the southern Rhone Valley. These two villages have a rare concentration of very distinct geological terroirs. There are three main ones: the Montagne de Ventabren, with bright and sunny slopes; the vast scrubland terraces of the Gayère Valley; the Hills of Rasteau, round and green. See less
