The history of pommard Castle began in 909 when the wine business in Pommard flourished in contact with the Benedictine monks who planted the first feet of Pinot Noir. Then it was not until a short time before Pommard became one of the first Burgundy villages known for the quality of its wines. To reconnect the Clos with its ancient origins, the Carabello-Baum family, largely encouraged by Emmanuel Sala (Technical Director), undertakes the conversion of the Château de Pommard vineyard to biodynamic agriculture. This conversion is underway throughout the vineyard and the first fully biodynamic vintage will be available in 2022. In the meantime, a vast renovation of the castle has been started in order to bring you an ever more original, extraordinary visiting experience with an offer of tastings among the most beautiful in the region.
