Description
The visit reserves a commented route in one of our Caves Jules Gautret. It is followed by a tasting of two pineaux and a cognac. Enjoy the unique combination of grape juice and cognac, which gave birth to the famous Charentais liqueur wine!
During the visit of the winery, accompanied by an advisor Jules Gautret, you access the technical area of the winery, where the harvest is received and the grape juices are pressed.
It is in the pineau storage cellars that we reveal the secret of making liqueur wine and the original history of this Charentais elixir. You will then discover a more confidential place, the one where rest, in oak barrels, the very old pineaux and cognac eaux-de-vie.
During the tasting, two pineaux of different ages and an XO cognac, are proposed to you by your advisor Jules Gautret. This privileged moment is an opportunity to introduce you to the art of tasting.
We invite you to observe the color of the beverages before entering the first olfactory notes. When putting in the mouth, appreciate the various taste sensations according to the age of the pineau. Then, distinguish a completely different flavor by tasting the liqueur wine with a diced cheese.
