chateau Virant - Eric Verdier - 2018 - Côteaux d'Aix en Provence

Red

Description

Château Virant by Eric Verdier is produced in the 2018 vintage at 1,440 bottles only. As much to specify that it will be quite sought after given the number of amateurs who love its vintages.
We will try to remain factual on the description of this wine which will delight lovers of rich Australian Syrah. You have to understand for this the work of a goldsmith carried out to get the berries at perfect maturity, the title wine at almost 16 degrees without the slightest sensation of perceptible alcohol (or a chouille, but it's so good!). On the aromatic richness side, it is pure happiness: bouquet where the black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry) macerate in a multitude of spices ... Then come the violet, coffee, chocolate on a note of liquorice stick ... The 100% new breeding is here perfectly integrated.
In short, a wine that you can keep for a long time in the cellar, if you manage not to finish everything before ...

Know a bit more about the domain

Eric Verdier is an unrivaled "wine maker". He mainly vineyards two vintages of reds in Provence with Virant and in the Corbières with Aumèdes and his cuvée Tuam Adoramus in (almost) pure carignan. The production is limited to a few barrels and rarely more than 3000 bottles ... in other words, confidential, but "competition" wines that we like to pass blind in the middle of some great references. ..
