Know a bit more about the domain

The Montus chateau is a world benchmark for wines from the South West, worn with talent by Alain Brumont, a tireless ambassador for Gascon terroirs. Clearly the reference on the Tannat grape variety, which can be blended with Cabernet Sauvignon or vinified alone with more or less advanced aging (XXL cuvées or Tire).
Château Montus benefits from a large terroir, unique in the Southwest, with a steep slope with large pebbles on fine clays from the Pyrenees. The miracle took place in 1985 when this wine upset the hierarchy of the great mythical red wines and was noticed in the world with its grape variety Tannat. Nicknamed "the Petrus of the South West" by a dozen critics for 30 years, Château Montus expresses all the qualities of these exceptional terroirs.
Note that the estate also produces a white Montus from the Petit Courbu and Petit Manseng grape varieties which deserves more than the detour and which thrills the tasters each time we place it in blind tasting ...
