User profile description

"... Dear Father, I am very pleased to report that after all our efforts, we have been rewarded as deserved. Our good wine, produced with a lot of love and know-how, will be delivered everywhere in the Kingdom, from today; I would also like to inform you that, in a few days, a cart loaded with our wine will leave for the distant lands of Savoy and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Only you can understand our feelings and how proud we are of all this. We always think of you. A big hug..." Your son Camille Letter from Camillo Di Carlo to his father Crecchio, December 13, 1830 The history of Agriverde merges with the history of one of the oldest winegrowing families in Abruzzo: the Di Carlo family. Proud winegrowers and tenaciously attached to the spirit of their land, the Di Carlo have been winemakers since the beginning of the nineteenth century: in a letter kept in the company, one can read Camillo Di Carlo announcing their first export. Since then, the Di Carlo Family has always passed on from father to son its passion for wine, a human and professional heritage that always represents a precious testimony to bequeath to future generations. In the second half of the 80s, Giannicola Di Carlo, bio-agronomist, took the reins of the cellars. It converted all production into organic methods and Agriverde became one of the first certified organic vineyards in Italy: ICEA (Institute for Environmental Ethics Certification), at the same time as the promulgation of the first EU regulation on organic farming (Reg. 2092/91), certified Agriverde in 1991.
