User profile description

Château la Brie is located in the commune of Monbazillac, it produces Monbazillac and Bergerac appellation wines. It consists of 31 hectares spread over 2 terroirs. Of private origin, the estate was bought in 1962 by the municipalities of Bergerac and Monbazillac so that the Ministry of Agriculture set up an agricultural high school there. The wine estate is a real educational tool, confronted with economic and environmental realities, which makes it possible to effectively train the winegrowers of tomorrow. Since 2010, the farm has been certified in Organic Agriculture on part of the vineyard (12 Ha) and is in the process of being converted on the rest. The estate will be fully certified organic from the 2023 vintage. Since 2013, Château la Brie has held level III of the HVE (High Environmental Value) standard, which officially recognizes the environmentally friendly practices implemented on the farm, particularly in favor of biodiversity.
