A RICH PAST SINCE 1620 Château La Martinette 1620 The estate is owned by the Chieusse de Combaud family, an ancient aristocratic family from Lorraine. 1796 Initially magnanerie the property then lived mainly from olive cultivation and fodder production. At the end of the revolution, it became the "Château La Martinette". 1880 Following a fire, the Castle is completely restored, the estate transformed into a farm. 1924 Construction of the bridge over the Argens which unites the Priory of Sainte Marie Vieille and the Château La Martinette, and brings together the communes of Lorgues and Le Thoronet. 2018 The new range of wines is launched. Coming soon New oenotourism projects will be developed on the property. Our vineyard OUR VINEYARD 47 hectares of vineyards in the Côtes de Provence appellation in organic farming preserved by more than 350 hectares of forests, olive groves, lavender and restanques. All the grapes that make up the wines of the estate come from the plots of Château la Martinette. All the traditional grape varieties of Provence are represented: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut, Rolle, Clairette, Mourvèdre, Cabernet-Sauvignon... up to the very rare and local Tibouren. Each brings its specific character to compose high-class cuvées. In order to exhale the best of our terroir and to respect as much as possible the integrity of our grapes, gravity work is privileged from the arrival of the harvest until bottling.
