User profile description

Fifth generation after Guillaume Barsalou "the Elder", Yves Barsalou ( winebnb.com ), worked from an early age in his parents' vineyards before embarking on a career in agricultural finance. He was a member of the French Academy of Agriculture until his death. His external responsibilities, which often led him to travel, never altered his deeply rooted peasant soul. Yves' wife, Claire, comes from a line of winegrowers from Bizanet. Continuing the work of her ancestors, she devoted her life to the development of the family property and passed on her passion and knowledge for her native land to her sons Éric and Jean-Yves. In 1981, after gaining professional experience overseas, Éric Barsalou took over the family business by continuing to renew and expand the vineyard initiated by his parents. For more than 20 years, his wife Dina has worked with him in the conduct of vineyard and olive-growing work in the field. In 1979, Jean-Yves Barsalou carried out his first vinifications in his parents' cellar in Bizanet before studying oenology and management. He then pursued a career in IT and wine management while at the same time dealing with the monitoring and expansion of family production. From 2006, he decided to devote himself fully to the family business and to start selling bottles for export. A graduate in wine law, his wife, Sylvie, has devoted more than 30 years to the administrative management of the estates.
