Our story Founded in 2001, and with 33 years of hands-on experience, Tim Smith Wines is a Barossa Valley-based wine producer that we consider to be an excellent cultural producer. We only make wines that we really like to drink ourselves (sorry, rosé drinkers). We are shamelessly influenced by the great producers of the North and South Rhône Valley in France, but we have an understanding of the New World of the techniques that we believe work best in our region. This understanding is the result of working as a winemaker with some of our most respected vineyards in the region, and many overseas vintages in a number of countries; always on the lookout, always learning and always challenging, even our own approach to winemaking. Our wines are rich, polished and structured for longevity, but with a fruity shine that invites early consumption.
