User profile description

The Gaillac region has been home to the cultivation of vines since ancient times, more than 2000 years ago. Its vineyard existed even before the birth of the city in 972. The Gaillac appellation is the oldest in the South West region. It is synonymous with rich, diversified terroirs and obtained in 1938 the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée, guarantee of typicity and quality of the wines. Château Les Vignals is located in Cestayrols, in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards, on the first coasts of the right bank. Historically it was one of the first estates to work organically in the 80s. After returning for some time to a conventional agricultural system, a new team is reconnecting with the past of the Vignals by obtaining the Organic Agriculture label in 2013.
