Your host:
Cotnari Wine House has it’s roots in ancient Romanian timelines, back when indigenous varieties were pleasing kings and stood up proud on the lavish dinner tables of the nobility. The emblem of Cotnari Wine House depicts Vladoianu Castle, which was erected in 1901 by boyar Vladoianu himself, former National Bank Governor and accomplished wine maker, to be the place of inspiration and storytelling. A story of the art of making wine, a story of success, a story about authentic Romanian grape varieties which are found in the COLOCVIU, DOMENII and IRIS Brands. Cotnari wineyard is part of the viticultural area of Moldova's Plateau, being one of the best known wine making areas of Europe, with a history spanning back some 2000 years and reaching a surface of 1750 ha, it embraces the ideal characteristics of the nature (the plateau, climate, soil) with the love for it by the human factor (tradition, know-how, passion). Cotnari Wine House is a genuine Romanian symbol which gives life to #PureRomanian wine from local, indigenous grapes like: Grasa de Cotnari, Tamaioasa Romaneasca Feteasca Alba, Francusa, Busuioaca de Bohotin, Feteasca Neagra.
