Saint-Péray
User profile description

In 1994, Stéphane ROBERT created the Domaine du Tunnel. It starts with 2.5 hectares of vines on the right bank of the Rhône, in the Ardèche in the cornas, Saint-Péray and St. Joseph appellations. The cellar is in the city centre of Saint-Péray. In 2013, the domain expanded its range with an additional AOC: Condrieu. In 2014, Stéphane rehabilitated a tunnel in Saint-Péray at the place called "Barras" to set up a winery and breeding winery. At the beginning of the 20th century, this 170m long stone tunnel was crossed by a steam train from Valencia to Vernoux in Vivarais." The cellar overlooks the Rhone Valley with stunning views of Crussol Castle. To date, the winery covers 11 hectares, in the municipalities of Saint-Péray, Cornas, Glun, Mauves, Tournon sur Rhône and Chavanay. The vintages are made mainly from old vines in hillsides or terraces, on granite soils. The grape varieties are Syrah (Cornas and St. Joseph), Marsanne and Roussanne (Saint-Péray) and Viognier (Condrieu) futs-cave-st-peray site-juice-raisin end.marsanne site-view-vine-cep The work of the vines and the harvesting of the grapes are done manually. Stéphane raises his wines with passion. He uses mainly for his Cornas and St. Joseph barrels of 1 to 3 wines. Depending on the vintages and vintages, it can use new barrels or wooden vats. This diversity of futaie allows him to make suitable and precise breedings. All production is marketed in bottles. The wines of the estate are represented on the most beautiful tables in France and the world. The estate exports 25% of its production (England, USA, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands...)
