User profile description

Founded in the thirteenth century by the Knights Templar, the Commandery of Peyrassol extends over nearly 850 hectares punctuated by oaks and olive groves, including 92 dedicated to the cultivation of the vine. Thanks to its exceptional natural location, the Commandery was a place of stopover and rest on the road to the Holy Land, for pilgrims passing through. Since 2003, Alban Cacaret has been running the Commandery of Peyrassol, alongside his uncle, Philippe Austruy, owner since 2001. Together, they have restored the estate to its former influence, and made Peyrassol one of the most famous vineyards in Provence.
