User profile description

Emile Bertaud, decided to set up his wine estate, CHÂTEAU GAUTHIER, in 1919. The estate continued to develop to become a "Bordeaux Premier Cru", as attested by the influential guide Charles Cock & Feret in 1946. Then in 2017, after having traveled well, Fabien Bonabaud discovered Château Gauthier, where the terroir and the vineyard immediately appealed to him and he knew that he was going to make this vineyard his playground to make the wines he wanted. Since this new start, Domaine Bonabaud has adopted ecological and integrated wine-growing practices, introduced innovative techniques to mitigate the effects of climate change, began planting new grape varieties, and developed new markets and distribution channels.
