User profile description

A history-laden past... In this region of Languedoc, the history of the vineyard merges with the ancient epics whispered in the Greek amphoras dated to the 6th century BC... Ricardelle, a legendary name, a prestigious anteriority, the coat of arms of a province. In 1342, the Narbonne archives mention the existence of Château Ricardelle. In 1696, the notarial deed, meaning the acquisition of Château Ricardelle in favour of the Duke of Fleury, a peer of France, mentions the vineyards in the property's land heritage. The new affiliation of Coteaux wines from Languedoc La Clape within the family of Wines of Higher Quality is formalized by decree in 1951. This is followed by 1985 with wines from the Clape consecrated by the decree of 24 December granting them the supreme distinction, the controlled appellation. Finally, last step and not least, June 9, 2015, La Clape becomes a communal appellation in its own right. Bruno Pellegrini, since 1990 owner of Château Ricardelle, commits all his passion to restoring the credit of these wines of the Clape with impressive quality potential and this with great success for Château Ricardelle.
