It is a meeting born of chance, in the most famous French wine region, which is at the origin of the brand Thompson's®. We are in the early 80s, when his father settled wife and children in Bourg Charente. A few years later, this atypical British gentleman and adopted Charentais grew up and specialized in spirits at the University of Eaux-de-Vie in Segonzac (16130). During one of his many walks, pilgrim's staff in hand, our founder Simon Thompson stumbles upon the "Fine Bordeaux". For this enthusiast, he realizes that he is at the dawn of a crazy challenge but a godsend for this AOC forgotten. He will visit shortly afterwards a distiller, father of one of his students and rounds up the only reserve of spirits in Bordeaux. Inspired by the heritage of the region and the quality of the grape varieties, Ugni blanc and Colombard, Simon decided to create in 2010 his own range of spirits (Fine Bordeaux, Vodka and Brandy). It will be signed "Thompson's" and made from Bordeaux grapes. Today, the range has expanded, the fruit of the artisanal character of the production that plays an important role in the special style of Simon Thompson.
