Founded in 2004 by Christopher Price and his wife Helga Wagner, Vinhos Cortém is a small organic winery (4.5 hectares) located in the hills and valleys a few kilometers east of Caldas da Rainha. Although agriculture in this region is today mainly fruit, 70 years ago only vines were cultivated and winemaking was the main activity, as evidenced by the many ancient vineyards and presses.
