DOMINIO DEL AGUILA is a family winery based in La Aguilera, a small village in Ribera del Duero, and run by a couple formed by Jorge Monzón and Isabel Rodero, "vigneron" and architect respectively. Since 2010 we have joined our efforts to make a dream come true...
The winery belongs to the "Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero" and is located in the "Ecological Council of Castilla y León".
The largest asset of the Dominion is the vineyard: we have 30 hectares of very old vines, most in organic agriculture, in addition to 5 relatively young hectares (under 50 years). We are suppliers of grapes from some of the main wineries in the region for more than 10 vintages.
Our passion is the vineyard! Jorge comes from a family of several generations of winegrowers and his studies were based on 'Soil, Viticulture and Oenology' at the universities of Bordeaux and Burgundy. He has worked with prestigious wineries such as Domaine De La Romanée-Conti for more than two years. He has also worked in Spain at the Vega Sicilia Group for one year and as technical director of Bodegas Arzuaga-Navarro for nine campaigns. Since 2013 he has been busy full-time in Eagle Mastery.

Throughout all these years of learning and gaining experience, we have also dedicated ourselves to the recovery of the family's vineyards, until we gather in property an important heritage of vineyards of very high quality, true Grand Crus... where the tempranillo grape is the real protagonist, living very friendly with other varieties such as country white, bobal, Grenache, albillo, grey tempranillo, etc.

We will explain the work done in the vineyard, then the work done in the winemaking and finally the aging of the wines.
Finally, we will offer you a tasting of some of our cuvées.
