Discovery tour of Château Guiraud

Located 40 minutes from Bordeaux, in the heart of Sauternes, Château Guiraud, the first of the 1st Grands Crus Classés in 1855 to have obtained the AB certification (2011), has been receiving visitors in search of Great Wines and nature for more than 30 years.

Upon arrival by the ancient Gallo-Roman road lined with 181 plane trees, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the 128 hectares of the winery. From the knowledgeable enthusiasts to the neophytes and the budding gardeners, everyone is invited to discover the pioneering approach of the Château which places biodiversity at the centre of its reflections and action. A country walk in the vineyards, an introduction to permaculture in the vegetable garden, the visit of the cellars, the tasting of the wines of the estate, the Château team is listening to its guests to shape a visit that resembles them.

Château Guiraud invites you to discover what has animated it for more than 250 years: the elaboration of its great wine through cultural practices; from organic farming to permaculture. The course includes the garden of biodiversity, where people connect with the omnipresent nature of the estate; the Castle whose rural spirit and conviviality define the places; the winery and the cellar to enter the heart of the elaboration of our great wine. During the visit, visitors taste the three wines produced at Château Guiraud.
